The MetGala 2012

On the 7th of May one of the most important yearly events went down in New York City.

Im talking about the The MET Gala 2012 wich was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Temple of Dendur.

As celebration of the new exhibition of ''Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations.''

-hosted by Carey Mulligan, Anna Wintour, and Miuccia Prada herself, as well as honorary cochair Jeff Bezos.

As usual celebrities from around the globe came to the Costume Institute Gala, wich was once again hosted by Vogue. You could call it the most important '' fashion event of the year!

Doutzen Kroes, Marc Jacobs, Beyoncé, Giselle Bunchen and Pharell Williams are few names of all the celebrities who joined the event.

All looking marvelous.

Head-to-toe covered in prints
First designers came with lovely printed pants which has taken over the streets.
But now they've added matching garments to create suits to their print obsessions.
Head-to-toe print might seem like a scary and daring trend at first thought.
But if you match it with a pair of coloured heels or go for an laid-back look by matching it with a white tee I'm sure it'll look fab.

VOGUE Fashion's Night Out Amsterdam

Yesterday our capital city, Amsterdam, had their official first VOGUE Fashion's Night Out (FNO).VOGUE Fashion's Night Out is a collaboration between VOGUE, Bijenkorf Amsterdam and the high-end stores from the PC Hooftstraat and Van Baerlestraat. Over 77 stores participate in FNO, each with its own special program. Participating stores are open late and anywhere extra special events. The best Dutch designers, models, fashion editors and photographers to work with and you can enjoy specially decorated shop windows, exclusive and limited edition products, cocktails and music. FNO promises the fashion event of the year to be. There were so many things to do, like taking a picture with nothing less than Viktor and Rolf!

The September issue is as many of you might know one of the most important ones of the Vogue magazine.
And now the very popular September Issue has hit the shelves!
Vogue is very iconic in the Fashion and Beauty world.
So they really had to put their best foot forward for their amazing September issues.
I have to say, I always find Vogue Magazine very chique and not only by appearance of the magazine itself.

Colored pants

I am loving the colored pants trend! Alltough I don't own one yet, but I'm pretty sure soon I'll be proudly owning a pair of colored pants! Some people think that this trend is only for women, but it isn't.
Men can pull it of too. Personally I like the colored skinny more than the colored chino.
I love the cobalt blue the most!
It's obviously that's it's becoming a huge trend and it's make your outfit fun to wear!

I have been seeing alot of Aztec prints these days.
It chatches my eyes every time
Especially the aztec prints blouses and sweaters.
The Aztec people were made up in different ethic groups of central Mexico.
Their art was a way to signify their stories and religion.
Now a hot trends for this season is the Aztec-inspired prints  on clothing and accesoiries.
I think these tribal prints make your outfit fun to wear. And it adds a very earthy vibe to your outfit.

This time it's how to wear; a chino!
For men and women.

Chinos are thé classic wear.
You can wear chinos with every occasion.
You can wear them on the weekends, to the office, to shopping and to a date. Chinos come in various colours but the beige look is still the most widly accepted, so you pick wich colour looks good on you. Just like skinnyjeans, chinos can be skinny, short or a quarter pants, so it's yours to decide! And with the legs that taper down smaller. The legs of the trousers are wearable in several ways. Rolled, folded or tapered.

Fashion| The denim blouse

The denim shirt/blouse makes a comeback this season with the collections on the catwalk including Chloe and G-Star. It is up to you how you wearing the shirt. Open or closed, in or out of your pants, a light or dark shade, wide or tight, you just as long as you feel comfortable. We are particularly impressed by the combination Chloe, where the camel color was combined with the light blue color.

Fashion| Role it up!

Blazers with rolled up sleeves are so totally 80s and set to bang on trend for Spring/Summer '11.
Bur rolled up sleeves aren't the only thing that can/will be rolled up.
Rolled up trousers, chinos, shorts and bermuda's.
Oversize boyfriend style jackets are best for recreating this look and to bring the rolled up jacket up to date just team it with some skinny jeans and a retro 80s tshirt.
The highstreets are already on top of this new trend with most stores currently stocking their on take on the look.

Fashion| The Chino pants

The Chino is back in the sprin/summer of 2011. This time is the pants not fussy but super hot and totally in! The Chino pants are less extreme than the harem pants with low croch and is has a little more space around the hips.

This pants will join in the sloughy (baggy pants) trend. The absolute golden rule for these trousers is : keep the top narrow to maintain a good balance, We've seen the pants coiled, and cover with casual or business of cut. When the high summer soon will arive, I gues we'll even see a Chino bermuda short. What you'll also see is Men with Chinos. Its quit a trend!

An important question that comes for women/girls with these pants trend is: What kind of shoes I wear there? The answer: Make it a party. Pull female shoes to be proud of, for example with additional straps, or a special sole plootjes. Choose eenschoen preferably with heels, which need not be high tower
