Music | "Heartstrings" by Leighton Meester

Leighton Meester finally released her first album. And despite the fact that she sang country music, the album is Indie-pop/Pop, and I'm definaly like it. Leighton has really sweet voice, she is one of the few actresses who has a talent for music and special sound. It’s a perfect mix between Lana Del Rey and Paolo Nutini.
She composed all the lyrics, so the album is autobiographical, sensitive and vulnerable. Some of the songs you've already heard, but many new ones.

“Anybody who has any clue who I am or my name or what I’ve done, I’m so happy to bring them over to this and get them
to listen to this record,”
The album consists of nine songs:
1.Heartstrings
2. Run Away
3. Good for One Thing
4. Sweet
5. On My Side
6. L.A.
7. Dreaming
8. Blue Afternoon
9. Entitled
My favorite songs are Heartstrings and Entitled. I think it's so classy album. I also love the music video for Heartstrings, simple, but really beautiful.

Candy, costumes, fun treats? What is there not to love about Halloween? I honestly still can't believe it's already Halloween, since I feel like I was just starting classes and soaking up the last of the summer sun. Halloween seems to creep up on me every year, but I'm always excited when it comes around! Not only is it an excuse to eat a lot of candy (let's be honest, it's the best part), but also signifies the start of the holiday season! Below are some of my Halloween favorites that I hope you enjoy too!

Favorite Halloween Decor: Mummy Pumpkin

Berry Bliss | Fall 2014

The leaves are turning orange and my facebook feed is filled with photos of people at pumpkin patches, so it must be the peek of fall! If there's one color that is the perfect makeup color for the fall, it's berry! Berry is one of the few colors that you can wear on your lips, cheeks, and eyes, and still look chic and classic. Berry is a color that looks beautiful against tanned skin as well as paler skin tones that may be starting to lose that summer tan. It is also a color that won't clash with what your wearing, especially neutrals, greens, and browns.

One of the more obvious places where berry colors is usually featured are on the lips. For a sheer wash of color the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in "Berry" is a way to have the berry lip without too much color. For a more bold look, go for a lip liner, such as Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner in "Matte Raspberry 10C", and/or a lipstick, such as the YSL Rouge Volupté Shine in "18 Prune In Fire". If you're looking for something more subtle, a berry cheek color is a beautiful way to wear the color. Two berry blushes that I have been eyeing include the Bobbi Brown Blush in "Berry" and the Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in "Berry Pop". One of the least obvious places to wear berry is on the eyes. Berry eyeshadows, such as the Chanel Eyeshadow Duo in "40 Misty Soft" look gorgeous all over the lid or as a pop of color in the crease!

Is berry a color that you will be including in your makeup routine this year?
I know I'll try the trend! Leave your thoughts in a comment below!

Leopard cardigan //Shop by D.

Get the Look: Lily Collin's "Love Rosie" Premiere Makeup Look!

Before I get into the makeup, can I just ask to take a minute to soak in gorgeousness that is that dress? So pretty! I love everything about Lily Collin's look at the Love Rosie premiere! The purple ombre of the dress was perfect for the fall and the makeup was on par with the dress. Her makeup featured many purple and berry colors on the eyes, cheeks, and lips, that complimented the dress beautifully. This makeup would be perfect for a formal fall occasion, but could also be appropriate for an everyday fall look!

  • BB Cream: Start the makeup with a little bit of BB Cream or concealer. You can adjust the coverage to your liking or you can skip this step if you don't wear foundation.
  • Bronzer: Lily didn't have on a lot of bronzer, so just apply a little bronzer with a bronzer or contour brush to the hollows of you cheekbones, on your temples, and down the jawline.
  • Pink or Lilac Blush: Any blue-toned pink blush or lilac blush will work for this look! Apply the blush lightly to the apples of you cheeks, blending into to the sides of your face.

  • Light Pearl Eyeshadow: Apply the eyeshadow using a pencil brush in the inner corners of you eyes and in the tear duct area. Also apply a little under the brow bone.
  • Light Lilac Eyeshadow: Apply the eyeshadow all over the lid, up to the crease. Taking a pencil brush, also apply the eyeshadow under the bottom lash line.
  • Deep Berry Plum Eyeshadow: Using a fluffy crease brush, apply the eyeshadow lightly into the crease, using a windshield wiper motion. Next, using a denser crease brush, apply a little more eyeshadow directly into the crease and blend well.

  • Black Liquid Eyeliner: Apply a thin to medium sized line from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eye. When you reach the outer corner of the eye, make a small straight wing. Lily didn't have a large cat eye, so applying a small wing will help you achieve the look and elongate your eyes.
  • Black Mascara: Apply several coats to the upper lashes, focusing on the outer corners. Also apply a little bit on you lower lashes.
  • Brow Powder: To get Lily's beautiful brows, fill in your brows with a little bit of powder.

The highlight of this look (in my opinion) and what pulled the look together was Lily's gorgeous lip color! Apply a Plum Lipstick, such as NYX's Butter Lipstick in "Hunk". You can also blend some concealer around your lips after to help clean up the edges.

One Little Black Dress 3 Ways!

The little black dress (aka, the LBD)...It can never do you wrong! Everyone loves a LBD, but surprisingly enough, I didn't own one until earlier this fall. I have always been on the hunt for that LBD that can be dressed down and up. After hunting at several stores, I finally found this Lush dress from Nordstrom BP. This dress is perfect for the fall nights because of its long sleeves, but is also light enough for those warmer days! I hope to also do an outfit post featuring the dress in the future. I also love how it's not your typical skater dress style. Below I have three outfits put together, that not only work for the Lush dress, but also will work for any little black dress!

This first outfit is probably my favorite out of all the outfits! (I know that I should have probably put it last, but decided to put it first since it's the most fall appropriate outfit). Without the earrings, the outfit wearable for class, and with some gold accessories, it is perfect for fall nights! Of course, start off the outfit with the black dress! Next, wear cream infinity scarf and a pair of black tights for some added warmth, which is perfect for the fall! Nothing says fall like boots, so add a pair of brown booties! Finish off the outfit with a pair of gold hoop earrings!

This next outfit is a great way to incorporate the little black dress into your wardrobe during the warmer months! Start off my pairing the black dress with a pair of nude wedges. The nude color will help elongate your legs and the lighter color is great for the spring and summer. The great part about wearing a black dress is that you are able add color through accessories without seeming overdone. Wear a colorful statement necklace and a pink lip color for some pops of color!

This last outfit is way to wear your LBD in settings or events that require you to be a little more formal or professional. Even though this outfit may be labeled as business casual, I would totally wear this outfit on a night out with friends! First pair a pair of classic black pumps with your black dress. Next, keep the accessories simple with just a pair of gold earrings. Lastly, add a black tote or satchel to finish off the chic look!

GISELE FOR CHANEL No. 5

source: afterdrk, theyallhateus

Hey there peeps.
I hope you all had a good start in the week. For some extra motivation and inspiration on a tuesday, let's take a look at the new Chanel No.5 campaign with Gisele Bündchen. Who knew she can surf that good (or more pretending to surf)? (Sorry, Gisele if you really can and I was offending you.- Who am I talking to, as if she was reading my blog. Anyway.)
And who wouldn't want to surf after watching this?
Surfing (and skating) really fascinates me. Two years ago I even bought a skateboard and I definitely want to go to a surf camp someday. Watching this relumed this desire. And I mean, it is Chanel. And Chanel is always a good idea. Especially combined with Miss Bündchen.

Leopard Print for Fall!

I never thought that I would say this, but I think I'm getting into the leopard print trend. I was never into animal prints, mainly because I found that with animal prints, there is a fine line between classy and, dare I say, trashy. However, I have learned that simplicity is key when it comes to animal print. Leopard print adds detail to a simple outfit, and can make an outfit unique and one of a kind. I personally find that leopard print looks best when it is shown through accessorises or shoes, since I think it's the easiest way to keep the print in moderation. Leopard print can also be worn through clothing though, especially when paired with simple shoes and accessories. Whether shown through clothing or accessorises, leopard print can bring a unique blend of freshness and boldness to an outfit!
