Top 15 Models of 2013

My list of the best models of 2013!

15. Sasha Luss
Sasha Luss' modeling career went really took off  after she dyed her hair platinum blond (it's gorgeoussss!) since then walked 53 spring 2014 shows! I'm sure 2014 is going to be a great for Sasha!

14. Josephine Skriver

This year she also got to walk in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for the first time! Like her bestfriend and now roomie Caroline Brasch Nielsen, Josephine recently walked Chanel's Metiers d'Art 2013 show in Dallas and ended the year with walking in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for the first time!
I'm pretty sure we'll see more of Josephine in 2014, looking forward to it!

13. Caroline Brasch Nielsen
Danish model Caroline Brasch Nielsen was the talk of town back in September because of her runway jobs and ofcourse killer streetstyle! She recently walked Chanel's Metiers d'Art 2013 show in Dallas and ended the year with walking in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for the first time!
I can't wait to see more of CBN in 2014!

12. Kate Upton
She got a Vogue US cover! There hasn't been a model on the cover since September 2011 (Kate Moss)!
That says enough right?!

11. Anja Rubik
Anja Rubik, one of my favorite streetstyle models!
She ranked no. 5 in Models.com's Industry Icons list, designed a capsule collection for Giuseppe Zanotti this year. Has had five Vogue covers this year and is now featured on Vogue Korea's January Cover 2014. Oh and besides that she is also the editor-in-chief of her own magazine, 25.

10. Gisele Bündchen
Again Gisele Bündchen was named number 1 Highest-Paid Model by Forbes this year!  Yesterday it was announced that she is now the ambassador of Pantone. She keeps proving that a modelling carreer doesn't need to end when you're in your late-20s . Btw, the Chanel campaign was amazing!

9. Kate Moss
Just like Naomi Campbell and Gisele Bündchen, Kate Moss, is proving that a modelling career doesn't need to end after you're in your late-20s. This year she did countless campaigns editorials and campaigns. She was the face of Eleven Paris and was on the cover of Playboy's 60th Anniversary issue! She received Icon status!

8. Candice Swanepoel
Candice Swanepoel really prove this year she's worth having the 'Supermodel Status'. Candice did numerous covers, editorials and campaigns proving she also high-fashion worthy. Oh and she was also given the honor to wear the Victoria's Secret Fantasy Bra of 2013, The Royal Bra, worth 10 million dollars!

7. Jourdan Dunn
When not walking in shows for great fashion houses, she's appearing in 3 music-videos, doing countless editorials and campaigns and ofcourse speaking speaking her min out about the racism in fashion. Supermodel Jourdan Dunn recently also got called ''Fashion's Tupac'' by GQ Magazine, ''People think that I'm against Fashion- or that I'm ghetto or a loudmouth. I'm not. But if speaking my opinion makes me that girl, fine. I'll take that crown.'' AMEN.
The year ended well for her, Beyoncé's surprise album came out recently and Jourdan is in two of videos, Yoncé with fellow models Joan Smalls and Chanel Iman and in XO with fellow model Jessica White and she walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013!

6. Cara Delevingne
This face is everywhere! 2013 Was quite the year for Cara, not only has she walked tons of show and was featured on allot of covers, she also gained three tattoos this year! Oh and fun fact; Cara is the Most Reblogged Model of 2013! And with her 1.3 million (!) followers on twitter and her 3.6 million (!!!) followers on Instagram, you could say without a doubt that Cara is a real Social-Media Titan!

5. Liu Wen
One of China's biggest international fashionstars is now one off the first Asian models to be featured on Forbes' Highest-Paid Model List! And also the first to walk on the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and first Asian spokeswoman for Estée Lauder! Like Joan she was also dubbed one of ''The New Icons'' by H&M!

4. Karlie Kloss
Even though Dutch supermodel Doutzen Kroes had the most Vogue covers this year, Karlie Kloss is actually the only model with 7 covers, which of none are reprints nor shared covers. Early Karlie has earned the official Victoria's Secret wings, becoming the latest Angel for the lingerie brand. Besides that she also collaborated with the British denim brand, Frame Denim to create a capsule collection exclusively for the long-legged ladies. Karlie herself has 1.2m legs and obviously had a hard time finding pants in her size, hence why she created it exclusively for the long-legged ladies, the range is called, Forever Karlie.

3. Joan Smalls
Puerto Rican supermodel, Joan Smalls has been ranking no. 1 model in Models.com's top 50 models list since September 2012 and I believe she still earns that spot. 2013 has been a great year for Joan, with having done campaigns for  brands from H&M to Estée Lauder and  having walked shows for major houses such as Balmain, Chanel and Givenchy, she earned her spot on number 3. She was also dubbed one of ''The New Icons'' by H&M! Did I forget to mention she was also in Beyoncé's new videoclip; Yoncé with fellow models Jourdan Dunn and Chanel Iman!!

2. Malaika Firth
After Malaika Firth landed a Prada campaign, being the first black model to do so since Naomi Campbell in 1994 (!), she became one of those models to look out for. She walked in every major runway show and she topped the year off by walking in the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show for the first time!

1. Doutzen Kroes
With having 8 Vogue covers in 2013, which of 4 were September issue covers, Doutzen also had the privilege to work with the top notch of the photographers in the industry, such as Inez&Vinoodh, Mario Testino, Steven Meisel and more. She has done campaigns for Miu Miu, H&M, Emilio Pucci and more! Also, Doutzen was featured in 9 different editions of Vogue and 3 times in the French edition of Elle! And she is now on the cover of the Januari issue of Dutch Elle with 54 pages of Doutzen inside.
So there is no doubt about it, Doutzen Kroes earned the spot.

Who do you think should be number one?

Honorable Mentions:  Saskia de Brauw, Daphne Groeneveld, Irina Shayk, Edie Campbell, Naomi Campbell, Sara Sampaio, Grace Mahary, Chanel Iman, Jasmine Tookes and Anaïs Mali.

The Resolutions Tag! | Moving From 2013 to 2014

The year of 2013 has been filled of ups and downs and roller coaster rides (figuratively and literally). I ended some chapters and started a new chapter in my life. I've had some of the best times of my life so far this year, while also dealing with some of the worst, emotionally draining times of my life. This tag highlights mainly the good parts of 2013, making you reflect on your decisions and the year in general while also looking forward by setting goals and resolutions. Read on to see my answers to this tag!

∙ LOOKING BACK ∙
1. Name 3 things you did this year that you're proud of. A lot has happened this year, and the first thing that I am proud of is graduating High School. After 12 years of school, it was kinda good to be done! Second thing would be starting college, which was definitely a big change. The third thing that I did is not giving up on my blog! I love blogging and am glad that I have been posting more than I used to!
2. Name 1 thing you wish you'd have done differently. I think that I would have approached college a little more differently, such as being more open to letting people in, which I have always had a hard time doing (and a hard time admitting).
3. What was your biggest highlight this year? Probably hanging out with high school friends for our "last" summer together as high schoolers and living in the moment with them.
4. What was your favorite beauty product this year? I would probably say Urban Decay Primer Potion. I know, this is kinda boring, but I feel like I haven't found the "holy grail" beauty products, like bronzer, eyeshadow, and mascara. For how oily my skin is, the Urban Decay Primer Potion does keep my eyeshadow on all day (however I have to add two layers).
5. What was your least favorite beauty product this year? Probably the Up&Up makeup wipes. I know this is boring, but I'm usually really careful about buying beauty products and I will research them and check reviews on them to its fullest, so I don't really get super disappointed when I buy a products (I'm kinda weird like that). Usually I get disappointed with skin care products since their results vary per person.
6. Who do you want to thank for being amazing this year? I would have to anyone who put up with me during any rough times. I had a pretty stressful year so I thank anyone who was by my side (as cheesy as it sounds)!

∙ RESOLUTIONS ∙
7. What are the makeup/beauty resolutions you have for next year? I think that I want to try to branch out a little with makeup and maybe to new colors, such as different blush and lip colors, since I usually just stick to rosy and natural colors!
8. What are the fashion resolutions you have for next year? I think that I want to evolve my fashion style. I'm happy with my style now, but I kinda think that I want to make my style a bit more preppy, like I have always wanted it to be. The problem is that I don't go shopping all that much so I just want to find some good pieces to help my style evolve.
9. What are your personal resolutions for next year? My personal resolutions for next year may seem like a lot, but I want to find a place where I totally happy and to find out what I want to do with my life. I also want to eat healthier and to work out more so I'm just more healthy overall.
10. Name 1 thing you want to check off your bucket list next year. I think that I want to join a yoga class! I know that it's nothing too crazy but I have always wanted to join a yoga class and now that I'm in college, I have more of an opportunity to join one!

I hope you enjoyed this post!
What are your New Years revolutions?

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013

Once again ''The Sexiest Night on Television'' has arrived! Just like last year's 'analyse' I want to ask you guys to hold back you rude comments (about the models). Ofcourse I'd love to hear your opinion but I hate it when people b**ch about that the models look ''skinny'' or need to eat.. These models are healthy, they're not ''too skinny'', they look amazing! So please no body shaming here.

Okay, back to the show. This years show, which is already the 16th, was held in New York, on the 17th of November. In the US the show aired December 4th but in The Netherlands it aired on the 24th, hence the late post. With 40 models (a record), 67 looks, 28 pairs of wings  and a 10 million dollar Fantasy Bra, this years show was supposedly the most expensive shtow ever.
Favorite segments are Birds of Paradise, Snow Angels and Parisian Nights. The wings in these segments are just killer. Especially in the Parisian Nights segment. Behati Prinsloo's wings in the British Invasion segment were also amazing! But it's not only the wings that catch my eye, besides the hot bods...

Everybody keeps talking about those (gorgeous) bodies and those wings, but has anyone ever paid attention to the beautiful heels the VS models/angels wear? Nicholas Kirkwood and Sophia Webster designed all of the shoe wear of this year's show.

Simple New Years Eve Makeup Look!

It still blows my mind to think that it's already almost 2014! The end of 2013 though means New Years Eve! This makeup is a simple and easy New Years Eve look with sparkly yet subtle eyes with a fresh, illuminating face makeup. I love the combination of bright/light silver with a deep plum color for the eyes! It works well with all eye colors, especailly brown and hazel eyes! Read on to see my simple New Years Eve look!

Eyes:
Start the eye makeup by applying a silver cream eyeshadow (such as Maybelline's "Silver Strike cream eyeshadow) all over the lid. Next, apply a shimmery bright silver eyeshadow all over the lid. Deepen the look by apply a deep plum-purple eyeshadow in the crease and outer corner and blend well! You can also build up the color for some added definition and smokey-ness.
Using a black liquid eyeliner, apply a thin line on the upper lashline and wing out the eyeliner if desired. Finish the eye look off with a black volumizing mascara.

Face:
For the face, start off with a foundation and apply evenly all over the skin. If you ave oily skin, set with a powder. Next, take a bronzer with shimmer and apply in the hollows of your face and temples. Taking a light pink lush with shimmer, apply to the applys of your cheeks. Lastly, take a light highlighter, and apply to the tops of your cheek bones and down your nose.

Lips:
Apply a pink-nude lipstick and finish the whole look off with a light pink lip gloss.

I hope you found this helpful!

Music | Lorde "Pure Heroine"

It's a debut studio album by Lorde. In this album, unusual sound, a bit like Lana Del Rey or Ellie Goulding. This is something like Indie, with elements of Electronica. This music is not everyone likes it for certain mood...even me at first it seemed boring, but later I really liked this album. My favorite song are Royals, Tennis Court and 400 Lux.
Track List:
1. Tennis Court
2. 400 Lux
3. Royals
4. Ribs
5. Buzzcut Season
6. Team
7. Glory and Gore
8. Still Sane
9. White Teeth Teens
10. A World Alone
11. No Better*
12 Bravado*
13. Million Dollar Bills*
14 The Love Club*
15 Biting Down*
16 Swingin Party*

*Extented Version
This year, the album was very popular, despite the fact that the Lord only 16 years old and she lives in New Zealand. I think that she was very lucky that Selena Gomez noticed her song "Royals" and included it in the tracklist of her world tour. I heard this song for example because of Selena.

Best of 2013!

Believe it or not, 2013 is all done and 2014 is just around the corner. 2013 was full of ups and downs and overall was probably the craziest year I have ever had. This post though will be about the best of 2013 for me and my favorite products and things that I liked this year. Read on to see what my yearly favorites were for 2013!

Beauty:
1. Foundation: I don't use foundation so I have no answer for this one.
2. Concealer: My favorite concealer is probably the Maybelline Fit Me concealer! It covers and conceals my under eyes well while still looking natural!
3. Powder: The Rimmel Stay Matte powder! I have oily skin so a matte powder has become a necessity for me! This powder is cheap while still doing the job and keeps you matte.
4. Blush/Bronzer: This year I have got more into bronzer later this year and I have to say that my favorite bronzer is the NYC Sunny Bronzer! It's pretty cheap and isn't too orange or too muddy, making it a pretty good bronzer! Plus it's matte which makes it more natural looking! (I'll have a review on this product soon!) Beginning of the year though I was more into the NYX "Rose Petal" cream blush.
5. Highlighter: I don't use highlighter that much since I have oily skin, but if I was to use a highlighter, I use my sample of Benefit's Watts Up, which is a pretty champagne highlighter!
6. Brow: Maybelline's Clear Mascara! I know that this may sound weird to some, but I don't fill in my eyebrows or anything, I just set them, which the clear mascara is perfect for!
7. Eye Product: Bobbie Brown gel eyeliner in "Caviar Ink". I got this eyeliner after having my makeup done for prom at the Bobbi Brown counter, and I am in love with this eyeliner! Stays on everyday and is perfect for everyday wear!
8. Lip Product: I don't usually wear that many lip products, so my most used and favorite lip product of 2013 is the EOS lip balm in the sweet mint scent. I use it every day and it does the job well!

Fashion:
Clothing Piece: I have absolutely been loving skater skirts this year! The have been "in" all year and it's one trend that I hope never goes out of style.
Accessory: I don't usually where accessories, so I don't think that I can answer this one.
Pair of Shoes: In the spring and summer, I was really liking nude flats and my loafers, however, when I started college in the fall, I started to change the shoes I wore. Now I mostly where comfortable shoes, such as my TOMS.

Random:
Favorite TV show: This year, I once again loved Revenge, New Girl, and Psych! I didn't start any new shows this year, since I have been pretty busy with school. I would totally recommend those shows though!
Favorite book: I am not a huge reader but my favorite read (particularly in the summer) was "Along for the Ride" by Sarah Dessen. This book was about a girl the same age as me and an unexpected summer fling, so I shamelessly lived through the character when I read this over the summer. It also wasn't that bad of a book for a young adult beach-read!
Food: I don't know if I have one particular food that was my favorite, but in general I have been loving pasta! I also have been loving Indian food!
Beverage: Since I don't really drink anything aside from water, I'm not sure what my favorite drink is. I do also like lemonade and the Odwalla juice drinks.
Favorite Song: I absolutely love music so this one is a hard one for me! This year, particularly in the beginning of the year, I loved the Imagine Dragons CD! My favorite songs were Radioactive, Demons, and On Top Of the World. I also like (be prepared for this long list) Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke (guilty pleasure), Thank You by MKTO, Pompeii by Bastille, I Wish by Cher Lloyd, Can't Help by Parachute, Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood, and Fall Out Boy in general.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
What was your favorite book this year?
I would love to read your answer!

Thank you for reading and Happy New Year!

Fashion Trends | UGGs

Australian footwear brand, which produces boots and other footwear made of sheepskin. Of course...this was a trend for a long time, but I would like to write about them, and understand why ugg boots, it already like a disease? Some girls don't understand how you can wear in the winter, not only ugg boots.

I'm not a fan of ugg, because I don't think they are very feminine, there are many reasons why I don't like them. In the photo are the only ugg boots, which I really like, my favorite color is pink and navy blue, but I really hate black and brown ugg boots especially. Ugg it's cozy fashion. I think that ugg boots better suited slender girls, because when skinny legs and big shoes it looks cute.

Some reasons Why I LOVE Ugg boots
  1. They are made of natural sheepskin
  2. They look good with leggings and skinny jeans
  3. There are some beautiful colors such as light beige, navy blue and pink
  4. Ugg boots are really cute with bows
Some reasons Why I HATE Ugg boots
  1. Tall ugg boots.
  2. Form boots, such as if your leg flattened by bear.
  3. Brown and black ugg boots
  4. Ugg boots with sequins
