The TMI Tag!

This is the latest tag that seems to be circling around Youtube and since I don't have a Youtube channel, I decided that I wanted to do it on my blog! It's kinda of a long tag, but many of the questions have shorter answers. I also thought that this tag was a little different than the fashion-related tags I usually do and that it would be kinda fun answering the questions!

1) What are you wearing?
I am currently in a sweatshirt and yoga pants. Today was definitely a lazy day.

2) Ever been in love? 

Considering I have never had a boyfriend, it would have to be a no :)

3) Ever had a terrible breakup? 

Like I said above, never had a boyfriend so I haven't had to deal with a breakup before :)

4) How tall are you? 

I'm a whopping 5'2". Yes, I know I'm short.

5) How much do you weigh? 

I really don't think it's important giving both the height and weight, so I'm just going to give the height :)

6) Any tattoos? 

Nope, and I not sure if I would ever get one. I'm have nothing against tattoos but I don't think I could commit to have something being on my skin all my life.

7) Any piercings? 

Nope, not even ear piercing! I'm not afraid of nettles, but I just never got around to it.

8) OTP? 

Emily and Adian from Revenge! I want them to be together so bad!

9) Favorite show? 

Scrubs! That show can always make me laugh and I love to watch JD and Turk's bromance! I have seen each and every episode at least 3 times! Definitely recommend it!

10) Favorite bands? 

Coldplay! I love Coldplay and their songs either want to make you get up and dance or are filled with emotion and feeling! Love them!

11) Something you miss? 

I miss when I was able to eat whatever I wanted without worrying about gaining weight. I also kinda miss the strong relationships I had with some friends from high school (but I don't miss high school itself haha).

12) Favorite song?

My all time favorite song is Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol (love them!) but I have recently been loving "Human" by Christina Perri.

13) How old are you? 

18 :)

14) Zodiac sign? 

Gemini, whatever that means. I actually like looking at horoscopes, but I don't actually know the reputation of a Gemini.

15) Quality you look for in a partner? 

Good sense of humor and kindness :) As well as confidence

16) Favorite Quote? 

For some reason, I'm blanking out on this one quote that I love and it's bugging the heck out of me...but I also like the quotes "Better to be the one who smiled than the one who didn't smile back" and "Maybe it's not about the happy ending. Maybe it's about the story" and simply "live, laugh, love, eat, repeat".

17) Favorite actor/actress? 

I have always adored Emma Stone, however, I have also been really liking Lily Collins!

18) Favorite color? 

I love both blue and green!

19) Loud music or soft? 

I like music that's in the middle. I don't like it when my heads pounding from the music but I also usually don't like falling asleep while listening during the middle of the day.

20) Where do you go when you're sad? 

Since I'm in college, I don't really have many options besides curled up in a fuzzy blanket on my bed with my computer (which I do regardless). At home though I would go to my room.

21) How long does it take you to shower? 

Around 10-15 minutes...although I would love to stay in longer but I feel like I would be judged. Add a few minutes if I decide to shave.

22) How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? 

I don't have any super early classes this quarter, so I like taking my time getting ready. I usually take around 30-40 minutes to get ready, dressed, and eat breakfast in the morning.

23) Ever been in a physical fight? 

I don't think so...I'm not a physical person but I may have had a fight with my sister when I was younger.

24) Turn on? 

Kindness, outgoing, and sense of humor!

25) Turn off? 

When someone tries to fit in with a certain crowd because it's "cool" and you get the "I'm too cool for you" vibe/look from them even though everything seemed cool between you two before he started trying super hard. Basically when someone tries to be someone they're not.

26) The reason I joined Youtube? 

Well, I don't have a Youtube channel (this tag is a Youtube tag but I just thought it on my blog) however I have honestly been thinking about starting one for like four years. As for my blog, I started it in 2011. :)

27) Fears? 

I have a fear of settling, being late to places, and not living up to their expectation.

28) Last thing that made you cry? 

The last time that I full on cried and needed a tissue was probably during the summer when my friends left for college, since I didn't leave for another few weeks. That's the last time I really let my feelings out. It's kinda hard to cry when you're in college and have two roommates.

29) Last time you said you loved someone? 

I said it to my mom when I talked to her on the phone earlier this week :)

30) Meaning behind your YouTube Name? 

Once again, this is a Youtube tag, but I'm bringing it to my blog, so I'll instead write about the meaning behind my blog name. There's actually not really a reason behind the name...I just like ruffles and I thought knows sounded good with it and wanted it to mean like "knots of life", but absolutely doesn't really mean that haha

31) Last book you read? 

I'm guessing this doesn't include textbooks. If it does, then it would be a textbook on world history. If not, then it would be "Along for the Ride" from during the summer (I'm not much of a reader except for beach-reads).

32) The book you're currently reading? 

Like I said, I'm not much a book-reader to be honest, so I've just been into my textbooks (which is kinda lame).

33) Last show you watched? 

The last show I watched was "The Bachelor" last night.

34) Last person you talked to? 

My roommate

35) The relationship between you and the person you last texted? 

The last person I texted was my mom.

36) Favorite food? 

I have always love Italian food and my favorite dish is anything with cream sauce! I also have been loving sushi and Indian food, especially Palak Paneer!

37) Place you want to visit? 

I would love to visit France or Italy! I have never been to Europe and I would love to go!

38) Last place you were? 

The last place that I was at was my last class.

39) Do you have a crush? 

I haven't had a crush like I did in high school when I really liked someone, and I haven't really been paying much attention to that kind of thing since I've been in college, but there may be someone I have my eye on ;)

40) Last time you kissed someone? 

I've never had my first kiss :)

41) Last time you were insulted? 

I don't know..aside from like my sister I can't think of the last time I was insulted... :/

42) Favorite flavor of sweet? 

I love most sweets, but I absolutely love milk chocolate and white chocolate! That is seriously my weakness!

43) What instruments do you play? 

I played the piano for 12 years and I played the flute for 7 years. Honestly though I sucked at the flute and never really liked it, but I did really like piano. :)

44) Favorite piece of jewelery? 

I don't ever wear jewelry so I don't think I have a favorite jewelry piece.

45) Last sport you played? 

The last team sport that I played where I was actually on a team was softball in middle school. I really liked softball and kinda regret that I stopped playing.

46) Last song you sang? 

I have been having either Dark Horse by Katy Perry or Human by Christina Perri. I know they're two completely different songs but I have kinda liking both :) 

47) Favorite chat up line? 

I love any hilarious pick up lines, but I like "Can I tie your shoes? Because I don't want you falling for anyone else". I also think nerdy pick up lines are hilarious.

48) Have you ever used it? 

Nope, I probably never will.

Books | Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen

   

Lock and Key is a novel written by author Sarah Dessen. It is her 8th published novel. It was published by Viking's Children's Books in 2008.

   This is a story about a girl Ruby, who lived in a dysfunctional family where mother was drunkard. Ruby didn't complain about life, she was just trying to live and survive. She had no idea that her life can change in one day.

    One day her mother left, Ruby used to the fact that the mother can not go back, but tall differently. Ruby was alone, she continued working, she turned to live like one, but once social workers learned about her situation and taken her to a shelter. She was taken away by sister, who was able to change her life, she now lives with her husband in a posh house, and there is and needs nothing. In the beginning Ruby could not get used to the new life. She found new friends, betrayed by old and moved to the new elite school.

    She began working at a jewelry store, became friends with a neighbor boy Nate, then she liked it. Nate had problems with his father, Ruby wanted to help, but her efforts were rejected, but she was able to help him at the end of the book, Nate went to his mother, Ruby missed him, but they communicated in a social network, which was created by the husband of Cora, her sisters.

    I liked the book, it is normal, but to be honest after reading it I didn't feel anything. This book is somehow about nothing. Just I certainly understand that Ruby was a difficult life and all that, but in this book as that all daily. It's like you just read someone's life. I think that in this book there is no story. Just Ruby's life. There wasn't some interesting moments. If you ask me what about this book, I would not even know what to say .... just about Ruby, the schoolgirl. This book in the second time I didn't read.

Get the Style: Vanessa Hudgen's Street Style

I absolutely adore Vanessa Hudgen's style! Although I couldn't personally pull off her look, I think that her vintage, edgy, yet a little girly look stands out from the crowd! The lucky girl who's dating Austin Butler is usually seen in printed maxi skirts and pants along with a pair of big round sunglasses! Read on to see my take on her look and how to get her style in stores! 

Outfit #1

This is the more edgy look of all of Vanessa Hudgen's outfits. Start off by pairing a graphic black tank with a black leather jacket. Next, pair a pair of black leggings with the tops as well as wrapping a blue flannel plaid shirt around the waist for that casual look. For shoes, Vanessa is wearing fringe booties, however, I think that any pair of black suede booties would work. As for accessories, pair the look with round sunglasses, a gold pendant necklace, and a black satchel to finish off the look! 

Outfit #2

This Outfit it the perfect, relaxed, spring outfit! I love the pairing of a cream cropped open-knit sweater with a patterned maxi skirt. For shoes, it looked like she was wearing suede boots, so pair the outfit with camel-colored suede booties with the outfit. As for accessories, add a quilted crossbody bag, black and gold necklace, and large black sunglasses!

Outfit #3

This is definitely my favorite of all of the outfits! I love the pairing of blue printed crop pants and white lace bralette with a cream crochet long cardigan! Pair the outfit with a pair of black wedges. Accessorize the outfit with a long silver cross necklace, small brown crossbody bag, and tortoiseshell round sunglasses to finish off the outfit!

Get to know H&M's New Icons, Jourdan Dunn, Andreea Diaconu, Sui He and Nadja Bender.

Jourdan Dunn who was born in London in 1990, was scouted when she was 14. By 2008 she had become the first black model to walk the Prada catwalk in over a decade. That year Jourdan won the title ''Model of the Year'' at the British Fashion Awards, and she has since appeared on many international front covers including British and American Vogue. Romanian model Andreea Diaconu was born in Bucharest in 1991, and is now based in New York. She started modeling in 2006, and was discovered by photographer David Sims in 2012. Andreea has since been featured on the cover French Vogue and appeared in campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana.
When she's not modelling, she really loves karate.

Sui He was born in 1989 in Wenzhou, a city six hours from Bejing, and in 2006 won a Chinese modeling contest. It was in 2011 that she broke onto the international catwalks, becoming the first Asian model to open a Ralph Lauren show. She's since become the first Asian global spokesperson for Shiseido, and was recently a guest judge on China's Next Topmodel.

Born in 1990, Nadja Bender is from Copenhagen and was
discovered through Facebook in 2011. Initially she wanted to continue her studies, but soon gave modelling a try, and in Febuary 2012 she opened the show for both Alexander Wang and Rodarte. Nadja has appeared in campaigns for Gucci and Chanel among others, and would still like to finish her degree in nanotechnology.

The New Icons 2014 by H&M

For the second time H&M introduced its New Icons collection. This year the supermodels Sui He, Nadja Bender, Jourdan Dunn, Andreea Diaconu as this years New Icons. The models are clad in the must-have looks for this season;''street sharp silhouettes, slick tailoring and fresh nautical stripes.'' The collection consists of a navy jumpsuit with a low-cut V-neck, a fitted tuxedo jacket with dark print, cropped sweaters, black accessories with gold details and a double-breasted trenchcoat.

The collection is now available in-stores and online.

Cara Delevingne Designed a Collection for Mulberry!

In November the British fashion company Mulberry announced that they will be not be showcasing a collection at the London Fashion Week, instead a week ago, they announced that they have some exciting news to share at the LFW. The past few days Mulberry and Cara Delevingne were teasing fans with behind-the-scenes images. Everyone was expecting that they would announce a bag made by Cara and when two days ago she actually posted a photo of a tattoo that said ''Made in England'' alongside in blue leather with the caption ''Coming soon...'' on Instagram. Then yesterday a picture of the same tattoo was posted on Mulberry's instagram but this time you could see that the blue leather was from a bag.

And today was the big reveal at 1:30 pm (London time) at Claridge's in London. Not only has designed one bag for Mulberry, but a whole collection consists of 12 bags in the mini, large and medium style.

Cara's tattoos were involved to make the collection even more personal. There is one bag inspired by her lion finger tattoo that has gold lion rivets and inside every bag there is a lion rivet and a heart shaped patch which is based on her pinkie heart tattoo, because she wants each bag to be like opening a letter. Cara said,''I wanted there to be hidden gems inside, based on things that are personal to me, which my tattoos definitely are.''

I Got To Meet Bethany Mota!

This post is a little different than what I usually write about, but it's still kind of beauty and fashion related...Yesterday I met Bethany Mota! Also known as Macbarbie07 on Youtube, she was on tour promoting her Aeropostale line and held some meet-ups along the way! Luckily I currently live one of the cities where she was holding the meetups! Bethany was one of the first Youtubers I started watching around four years ago and its amazing to see how far she's come! Here are some photos that I took with her!

It amazed me how many people were at the meet up! Literally hundreds of people! Although I waited in line with a friend for a few hours, it was exciting to meet her! She is so pretty in person and I just wish that I could have talked to her, but there were hundreds of people in line, so there wasn't much time for talking! It was really amazing to meet her though!
